Basic Sign Language (Gr. 4 - 8)

Did you ever what to learn sign language? Come and find out how to sign the alphabet and learn numerous basic signs. Signed English will be taught through games, videos, songs and direct instruction. Students will be able to engage in basic conversations in sign language and create their own "sign name." We will also learn how to sign several songs to perform for parents/family on the last day of class. Basic culture of the deaf and hearing impaired as well as scientific advancements and technology such as the cochlear implant will be presented. 

Students in the older class will also cover how to use language as an academic study tool for recall.
